OK. You can make a filter to just dump any message with 'Sherwood' in the Subject, or even in the
text of the message, and you'll never see it!
Personally I'm not interested in them either, but I'm still interested in
discussion about them.
I think a 'Sherwood Free' Drake reflector would probably not do well, and would only serve to
fracture the community. I just do not understand the 'Drake R-4A, Version 2, s/n 2007-4055 ONLY'
sort of lists. None of us, (except perhaps me!,) are interested in _everything_ about Drake, (and
I'm not so sure about the UV-3!,) and just deal with it. We all have a DELETE key, and if it REALLY
bugs you, a filter is easy enough to implement, in which case you'll never even SEE the word
Sherwood! :-)
The DrakeRadio group has been around a long time, and when the original owner moved on to other
interests, he asked me to take ownership just to keep it going. We pick up new Drake guys every few
weeks over there, and I always welcome them with the invitation to join this reflector as well. I
believe Drakelist is the preeminent list and every Drake user should belong. DrakeRadio is a
secondary list and I'd bet that 90% of the members over there are members here as well. There are
three or four other Drake reflectors, but they're essentially dead.

Garey,
Just to put something on this reflector, you might remember my posts a couple months ago regarding
having a reflector not allowing Sherwood Mod discussion. (I can't stand them nor any discussion
about them). I had asked the list to get a hold of me privately regarding opening such a list. I
got responses all saying "Don't do it"! Consequently the subject is dropped. I will
just delete any heading with "Sherwood" in it. The fear was fracturing the lists and not
so much not allowing Sherwood Mods to be discussed. This is probably a true fear.
