The flat plate was from the TR-4. The 'dished' plate started with the 'TR-4B' (NOT an 'official' model) which was at s/n 27000. I call it the "B" version because it came along at about that same time, (late 1967,) and shared other cosmetic changes that appeared on the B-Line twins. These changes included the brushed main tuning accent disc, the 'dished' plate, black lettering 'above the belt' on the front panel and a neon 'PTO in use' light.
