Hello to the group. Hooking up RV-4 to first version TR-4, (no noise blanker in lower right) 26000 s/n. Dial lamp and tube do not light. I test fed the circuit (pins 7 & 8) lamp lit and tube heaters started to glow.. so cable is good.
I read that the TR-3 had a jumper internal on the VFO jack (between 2 & 8 orange and white) and this needs to be cut. As I have heard the first tr4's were actually just updated tr3's does this jumper in place cause my issue w/ no power to lamp/tube heater? I know this is probably a look and see thing, but before I take the cover off, maybe someone else has seen this and I am wrong about my assumption and should be looking elsewhere. tnx., 73, Dave, WV9E
