[Drakelist] T-4XB power switch

Today I took my two T-4XB's off the shelf after way too long and found 
that both of them have trouble with the power switch ganged with the 
"gain" control. Nothing happened when i turned them on (yes I used a 
variac at low voltage and i will recap the AC-4). Checking with an 
ohmmeter later I found that both power switches were open, but 
repeatedly cycling them brought them back. Is there an established way 
to make them reliable?
