Just curious (in your opinion perhaps)....was Drake purchased as an investment 
by B-T or just to get the name and get
them out of the competitive way??  Maybe this is the way of business, but it 
would seem a bit expensive to buy them out
just to put them out of business??

So I suppose my theory that Drake would buy out Palstar (located just up the 
road in Piqua, Ohio) and make a triumphant
return to the amateur radio market.

Yes I know, dream on.  Sorry to see the demise of Drake.  Wonder what Bob Drake 
would say about this turn of events??!?
