Have for sale a "new" Heil FS-2 footswitch. This is the one that keys the
linear before the rig thus preventing a power foldback spike in the rig.
Was used for less than a minute, hence, as new condition. Price is $25
including shipping and insurance, continental US only.

Enjoy those Drakes!

Good afternoon everyone,

After a long absence from ham radio I am excited about re-entering the
hobby and I am interested in acquiring a TR-7. It was my dream radio when
career took me away from the hobby.

Any words of wisdom you may have about the TR-7 would be most welcome.
Is there anything I should particularly look for in a potential purchase?
Any thoughts
on what a TR-7 and power supply in good condition would cost? There is
what appears to be a very nice one listed on EBay at
the moment.

Thanks and 73's

Good for you Tom !
I would look for?a later serial number TR-7, with the "A" type features.?
It may
even be labeled a TR-7A.? Anyway, it is a great rig.? I started with a
used one
about 26 years ago, and mine is still going strong (a little TLC over the
years
has kept it that way!).? the serial number is in the 8600's, and had the
"A"
items already in it.? The ones on ebay right now are pretty neat, but one
looks
like it is a lower serial number.? They are VERY functional rigs actually,
and
don't have all the bells and whistles of todays rigs, but most of that
stuff
doesn't have much to do with catching the rare DX, or doing a great job of
constesting !!!

agree with the comments. At hamfests a great one goes for 650 to 750 with
all the filters. Ebay is all over the place. Might want to also try eham.
Good luck and welcome back!

Tom,

Welcome home.

As an owner of the TR-7 for 30 years, I can testify to what a great rig
they are.

I'd highly recommend looking for a TR-7 with a "3 piece" back panel.
That
signifies a later version that will have the minor improvements that were
made over the years. The A model, as previously recommended, would of
course have all of the improvements, a noise blanker and a CW filter
(unless
they were removed by a prior owner). Unfortunately, the A model typically

commands a much higher price due to its collectability.

As to accessories, the noise blanker is now fairly worthless. It was
designed for the Russian Woodpecker, and did a great job. But it doesn't
do a
great job on atmospheric noises. Accessory filters are readily available
for the TR-7 at around $40 each. So if you find a rig without the
filters,
it isn't that great a problem.

Hi all,

Selling my Drake TR-M.. M = Marine
It is brand new, never put it in the boat.
Obviously never used, still in its original Drake unopened box.

This is an HF rig. SSB or AM 150W PEP

It has the optional 12 V power supply.
It has a built in antenna tuner, can tune a 23 ft vert. antenna, long
wire
or ?
It has a mic , which I understand will be a Turner by brand.
Assuming typical new Drake the manual for same will be in the box.
