to be less than the 70us you saw, but I am no AMD CPU designer. ^.^
This was on Nehlahem with 1 CPU on 2nd core.
My fear of doing something like this would be to run out of steam
on that core when things get busy.
I have nothing else going on in the system, just doing
some path finding at the moment to see where the overhead is.
