What makes you think your drbd resource is limited to 4TB ?
Maybe it's a limit in your file system (the tutorial mentions JFS) or
your partitioning scheme ?
On Ubuntu 10.04 on AMD64 we're running a 9TB resource and DRBD didn't
complain about it.
It's sitting on top of an LVM Logical volume, and it contains an LVM PV,
a VG and several smaller LVs (each under 3Tb).
