Once again I am proud to announce a new release: 8.4.1
New features * Read load balancing. That might be of interest if you have a faster network between your DRBD nodes in place, and want to benefit of the secondary's IO bandwidth for reading.
That sounds nice for one of our DRBD clusters, where there's a dedicated, short 10GBit/s connection, but rather slow magnetic disks on both ends.
* Optional load balancing for read requests: new keyword "read-balance"
Alas, I couldn't find way to enable this.
tar xOzf drbd-8.4.1.tar.gz | grep "read-balance"
yields just the one line from the ChangeLog:
* Optional load balancing for read requests: new keyword "read-balance"
... so I wonder, is this really implemented?
* Works with Linux-3.2
I'm currently running 3.1.6, I hope this is also still supported. Regards, Lutz Vieweg _______________________________________________ drbd-user mailing list [email protected] http://lists.linbit.com/mailman/listinfo/drbd-user
