Of course, you wouldn't try and do low-latency disk replication through a switched network (i.e., unless your switches can indeed reduce latency compared to a back-to-back connection. Which would be frickin amazing). Still, as far as I know (from heresay), ethernet *will* introduce latency above what Infiniband or Dolphin can achieve, switched or not.
