Use LVM as the drbd raw device this way you have the option to re-size the
LVM (mostly enlarge) without any problem.

you can find the meta-data overhead furmula at
http://www.drbd.org/users-guide/ch-internals.html
but the cost is very small ~ for a 60GB resource the metadata is less then
4M.
