"verify" should just communicate the start tigger for a verify run into the kernel. That should take subseconds. In this case, it took longer than five seconds, probably because this drbdsetup had to wait for "something" (possibly other drbdsetups?) > Maybe someone can explain this and what to do now. As long as the verify starts anyways, ignore. Otherwise, maybe don't try to do too many things within the same second. If you absolutely think it makes more sense, see global options cmd-timeout-short, -medium, -long.
