Yes.
Some upstream kernel patch that was not even Cc'ed to us broke DRBD.
I can now confirm that the patch
bdfafc4ffdd2 ("locking/atomic, kref: Kill kref_sub()")
you posted does remove the symptom on our machines - thanks!
