Some very important elements may be needed for the interpretation of this
dream. For instance your cultural and religious background could shed a lot
of light on the meaning of the black dove. Some other points are missing.
I wonder if you feel that you will have to eat this dove? Or do you only
have to clean it? I guess it is being prepared for eating or integration.
For a Christian the dove could be a symbol of Christ or peace in general.
Black is not neccesarily a negative color. In fact it is the color of a
more complete spiritual integration. The boyfriend has to help in the
process by "penetrating" the dove (a masculine task). Inside the dove is a
"ball" of blood. I wonder if this ball is very spherical (round) like a
ball or only roundish as an inner organ could be. In any case this could be
a symbol of the Self. At this point I would want more detail about how you
felt during this part of the dream. The blood can be "life" or "feeling".
There certainly is a lot of chaos depicted by blood everywhere.
Not knowing more of the details, I want to say that this is a dream about
the difficulty associated with some important spiritual growth work. It is
in the kitchen (another important place) with a powerful symbol of deeper
spirituality. You are having to open it up and "reveal" it or pluck it.
The blood is like an explosion of feeling associated with this discovery or
maybe even an explosion of life or life force.
