Dream Title Papal Visit - fest.
Date of Dream 7th March, '99. 6am
Dream I'm in college with a friend of mine. I don't
know what the room is but it's dark. The pope is here. It's very confused
but I'm disappointed that more people haven't turned up. I cheer and
applaud. Now, there's a coffin. I know there's a woman in it but we
suspect that there's someone else in there too. JPII puts his hand on the
coffin (which is white). I can feel a certain strenght. A kind of psychic
energy. The coffin opens and a woman is in there with her daughter.
My friend an I are walking back to the library.
Now, I'm in a Park in town. I meet two friends of mine. It's bright and
sunny but I'm tired because I was at that thing last night. On our way
back to college we pass through an arcade/home. A pagan friend of mine is
there and I nod and smile in recognition. He salutes me.
I think there's a river nearby.
Comments by Dreamer I consider myself to be an ex-catholic and that my
spirituality is most closely akin to paganism but in this dream I was the
popes biggest fan. Before going to sleep I was reading and there was a
reference to Catholic identity. Also, last friday I had a conversation
with a Christian friend of mine about the conversion experiences of Born
Agains.

back to the same area as me. The only problem was, i found out because she

Dream: " I was just getting back from the store when I looked in my bedroom
window and saw by boyfriend in bed with my best friend."
Dreams of cheating partners are very common and often give us a jolt. Since
we have all heard that dreams might predict the future or reveal deeper
meanings, the fear arises that our lovers might be cheating on us. Usually
this is unfounded. Here are some questions I ask myself:
1. How likely is this to be literally true? If it is likely, I would
confront my lover, not by saying I had caught her in a dream, but that I
had a dream about it and tell the lover my fears.
2. If its *not* likely, I would see the people in the dreams as parts of
myself. Carl Jung saw the act of sex as a symbol of union. So if my wife
Cassidy, who is a very thoughtful type, was in bed with my friend Bill, who
is very emotional, I might ask myself what would happen if I joined my own
thoughtful side with my emotional side?
As you can see, this technique works just as well for myself. That is, if
I dream I am cheating on my lover, but would never do this in waking life,
then it is an opportunity for me to join with some of the characteristics
of the dream lover. If Brenda is a hard working person and I'm more of a
happy go lucky guy, I can use the dream to explore what it would be like to
mix these qualities in my life.
These unexpected unions in dreams can lead some very positive growth once
we get over the belief that they might be literally true.
