Dream Title Owls by Mindwanderer
Date of Dream 9/08/99? and 9/14/99?
Dream I walk in the dark night down a narrow garden
path, unknown to me. It is a short path, with trees on both sides. At the
end, I see a wooden fence with a horizontal (flat) top, and a large, very
round whitish-gray owl is there, staring at me. It floats from the fencetop
toward me, as I freeze in wonder--not afraid, but feeling internally
pleased and happy. It comes to within a foot of my face, suspended in air,
and stares into my eyes. It flys away over my left shoulder. The dream
ends. A week later I dream of a small gray owl sitting on the dashboard of
a pickup truck, staring out the windshield looking at me. In the
background, another owl just like it is perched on the back of the seat
looking at me. There is some kind of ornament hanging by a gold chain from
the rear mirror over the owl in the foreground, (i.e., on the dashboard.)
I look at the owls in the truck staring at me. I am confused about why this
is happening. The dream ends.
Comments by Dreamer What do these owl dreams mean?
My dream consciousness feeling was one of silent pleasure the first time,
and incomprehension the second time. The owls were different types in the
two dreams. The first owl looked very like an
"elder," or "wise one." The second two owls looked like juveniles, of a
different species entirely. I think these dreams are important, but I have
no idea why.
