OK first the dream (how bizarro is this one??) and
then a question ...
A Dream of Romania
I dreamed I was sitting at home (some home not this
one but home to me) and I recalled that Mircea (my
cyber overseas boyfriend, he lives in Bucharest
Romania) had told me what street he lived on. So I
decided to unexpectedly drop in on him. So, as in all
my dreams when I have to go great distances, I hop in
the car and drive. I cannot describe the gorgeous
mountainous scenery that I passed driving down this
highway to Romania, it was drop dead gorgeous. So I
get to where he lives I don't know his exact apartment
number but someone tells me and I show up and he's
VERY happy to see me. Except things don't go so well.
First off there's not a stitch of furniture in his
apartment. No chairs, couch, bed, tables, NOTHING. I
walk down a hallway and there is a room that is VERY
brightly painted blue with blobs of white that looks
like it was painted to be or match the sky. I asked
him what the room was for he didn't answer. All the
while I was there it was like, he was happy to see me
and all but he didn't really CARE. At one point I was
trying to instigate a lovemaking session and he just
wasn't into it. I got up and walked back to the blue
room and demanded to know what the room was used for.
He wouldn't tell me. I went down another hall and
there was another room, this one deep red and brown
trimmed, with construction things in it, sawhorse,
saws, tools, like the room was just built or redone.
There was a door to the back of the room I opened it
and a cool breeze caught me and I liked it and he said
"this could be your room" ... first I was pissed I
wouldn't be sleeping with him and second, the room was
a disaster, there were big holes in the wall (hence
where the breeze had come from) and the paint was
peeling and it was a wreck. I looked at him and said
"there are holes in the wall" and he shrugged and
walked out. I followed him and went on outside, I'd
wanted to see some of the country, he was obviously
not going to show me around so I decided to leave, and
see some more of the country on my way home. Another
woman was outside the apartment house. She knew me
she was a friend of mine. She was there to have sex
with Mircea. I became furious, I asked her if she'd
been doing this a long time and she said 'sure it's no
big deal'. Somewhere along the line there was a man
associated with Mircea that hurt people, like an
assassin. He ultimately hurt or killed the woman. At
any rate I'd had enough I decided to go home. She was
going to give me directions but the assassin took her
out so I had to go as far as I could and ask
directions on the road. I thought I could make it
following the signs. I left and at first drove
through a rural area, on a road that unmarked exits
just popped up every minute or so. I eventually drove
into a town, and there were old world people there,
some with carts of fruits and other things to sell,
some just wandering around town. I passed a carwash
and came to a fork in the road. One white sign with
green lettering said MART and the other white sign
with green lettering said POTO. I chose MART and took
off to the left. The scenery got rural again and
around that time I awoke.
Ok about food before bed ... I've been eating a lot of
(1) peanut butter and (2) chocolate before bed. Not
good I know but we're not here to preach right? :)
Anyway, I'm thinking it's one of the two that is
aiding me in having such good dream recall because I
was at one time having trouble remembering my dreams.
Anyone know if there is a food that helps with dream
recall or is that dumb? I know I read somewhere that
valerian and melatonin aid in lucid dreaming and dream
recall. Anyone?

Chocolate is one of the best. Any food with high content of Vitamin B is
also reported to increase
dream recall. Too much food, over eating just before sleep can produce
nightmatres. Sleeping on your right side is best with your head facing
Eastward. Plenty of water is helpful too not only to awaken you to record
dreams but it adds to the electrical components of the electromagnetic field
of the brain..
