Subject: The Castle ...
First, the dream:
Dreamt I was in a place, rather mundane on a type of
vacation. I had been there a week and was incredibly
bored and was actually crying at one point to someone
that I just wanted to go home. There were some men
there, 4 of them, older, one looked like Johnny Cash
(American Country Music Singer) with a ridiculous huge
white wig on. A rock band came along and one of the
guys took pity on me and asked me where home was I
said Texas and he said theyll be passing through
there on tour so I could go with them and theyd drop
me off. They must have taken me to a train station
because I caught a train home. Home turned out to
be an elaborate estate, I mean HUGE. Lush grounds and
the house was just enormous. There were flags
flying on top of part of the structures and they were
very strange, depicting strange creatures and were in
color, more like a photograph on cloth than flags.
The structures were the white brick or stone. I was
telling someone that we hadnt always lived here we
just got here, and I decided to take a walk. I was
walking in a sort of neighborhood and came to an
intersection and a little girl was riding a bike and I
started talking to her and noticed an orange tree,
with navel oranges on it. She said yes thats an
orange tree and I could have as many as I wanted. I
picked an orange and peeled it, but it was only good
on the bottom. The oranges got bigger as I picked
them, the last one nearly as big as a pumpkin. I
would tear them open and only eat the bottom part
because the top part tasted bad, like they were
rotting. Something woke me at that point but there
were more men, they were looking for me, but I wasnt
being hunted or anything they were just people from
the estate come to fetch me.
Now, the question:
Do you taste and smell in your dreams? I mean,
vividly? I certainly do.
It is one of the commonest of mistakes to consider that the limit of our power
of perception is also the limit of all there is to perceive. - C.W. Leadbeater
