An alternative is to subscribe with all email addresses you may be sending patches (or messages) from, but disabling list mail delivery for all but one address in the dri-devel list management interface. You can have git format-patch/send-email add a From: line at the beginning of the patch (separate from mail headers) matching the Signed-off-by.
