--- Comment #13 from Filip <wat...@gmail.com> 2011-11-09 10:56:34 PST --- So, after I ran the following on my system: sudo sh /usr/share/ati/fglrx-uninstall.sh sudo apt-get remove --purge fglrx fglrx_* fglrx-amdcccle* fglrx-dev* sudo apt-get remove --purge xserver-xorg-video-ati xserver-xorg-video-radeon sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-video-ati sudo apt-get install --reinstall libgl1-mesa-glx:amd64 libgl1-mesa-glx:i386 libgl1-mesa-dri xserver-xorg-core sudo mv /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.backup sudo rm -rf /etc/ati I still get the occasional hard freeze (the frequency was reduced to 2 - 4 times a day, which is a lot better than it was before). Is it possible that the old fglrx driver touched some other libraries which I need to install? if yes, which one would those be?
