Sure, it detects DP, but do you also connect the monitor via DisplayPort? I'm asking because the DP code always seemed fragile and there seem to be devices that have both ports, DP and VGA, with no way of detecting VGA.

OK. Just to clarify: your system does use an Aspeed DisplayPort? There
are also systems with VGA port.
