aha! that explains the fact that i haven't seen word about it on the lists..

Right. I will give it a try then, I have a SiS630 chipset in my hands right 
now.

please post what you find out for them.. They are extremely bad (like most 
Taiwan/China/Honk Kong companies from my experience....) at replying (actually,
 i have gotten 0 responses from their sales/management/support people! )

PS. would you know if there's anything funky i need to do to get the kernel 
DRM module going? I didn't see it being spat out of the main Makefile, even 
though there are some entries for it in the main Makefile ...
