I didn't have a copy of glxinfo in /usr/X11R6/bin, so this did not quite
work for me.
Also, I can't seem to make v0.6 work on my system. Immediately after X
starts, I get a kernel message:
VM: killing process X
and am left with a black screen (with no return to console mode). [Well,
even if this is a struggle, I now know how to operate the Magic-Sysrq
keys :-]
Any additional diagnostic suggestions?

[DRI's worked great on my system for a long time, so I don't think it is
a hardware problem, but here are the parameters anyway:
400MHz PII
440BX MoBo
AGP TDFX 3500TV
RedHat 7.1 (kernel 2.4.2, libc 2.2.2, gcc 2.96)]
