Hi, folks!

Here's a semi-success story about Radeon SDR32.

I'm running an old machine, K6-III@550 on a Gainward 5VPA motherboard,
chipset is VIA MVP3. Debian woody, X4.0.3, kernel 2.4.4.

Got the 0.7 dripkg, it compiled and installed fine. Glxinfo works only when
run as root, otherwise segfaults. DRIsetup reports everything is fine,
provided that I remember to load the agpgart and radeon kernel modules by
hand. Wasn't the X server supposed to be capable of loading the kernel module
automatically?

Every now and then the screen becomes garbled, including the console. The
machine keeps running, but the only way to restore the situation seems so be
a reboot. I tried SVGATextMode -o but it didn't help. Is there any other way
to restore the situation?

Hasn't happened in windows so far. This happens mostly when the 3d direct
rendering is actually used, i.e. when playing SiN. Haven't tried gears yet.

Another thing, when DRI is loaded and direct rendering enabled, the 2D
performance seems to degrade radically. How come?
