Well, to poke my two cents in:
I'm working on the gatos project with Vladamir Dergachev, and tried to
ask a question on DRI-devel and no-one answered or it got swallowed by
the list.. in any case, frustrating. Admittedly, it wasn't directly 3d
related, but it touched the DRM driver ( The Xv driver needs access to
the Busmaster DMA controller on the Radeon/R128 to transfer data _off_
the card, not as a virtual fifo; there needs to be a mechanism to share
it safely).
