Everything X related is the same (same config file).  The only possible 
difference is that I have MMX enabled and he doesn't.    

Anyway, 3D mode works allright, so if I put up with a minor headache in the 
2D stuff, I can still play all the games.  If any one find a magic bullet to 
fix this sucker (beyond tossing the machine out a 3rd story window), would 
you please let me know?
