I've tried to compile the OpenGL cube demo.
Linking fails with latest libglut.so.3.7.0 generate from Mesa-4.0.1.
Only the libglut.so lib from the DRI site works.
SunWave1 Mesa/demos# gcc -o cube cube.c -lglut
/usr/lib/libglut.so: undefined reference to `glXGetProcAddress'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
I hoped you had it fixed with latest checkin.

- use glXGetProcAddressARB in GLUT to avoid extension linking problems
- fixed triangle strip "parity" bug found in VTK medical1 demo (Keith)
