Hello there,

I've been avidly looking at the DRI web site on the status page to see if
there is any mention of the main CVS trunk code being Mesa 4.x yet. For me
this is quite important as I have patches to Mesa 4.x for SMP
vertex/light/tex trans that I wrote ~6 months ago and have been dying to try
out.
Just going into why I have not said anything before: I tested my patches by
disabling rasterization all together in Mesa 4.x (what ever version CVS I
downloaded) (Oh and yes while I rem. Keith: its a dam sight cleaner now
thanks to you.) This was because a software buffer clear was the bottle
neck, something that should not be the case with h/w accell. And its
all very well seeing you code whizz off 2x as fast with no pictures but its
something else to actually see it, a proof and pudding agument. So I've
been waiting for Mesa 4.x to become std in the CVS trunk so I can fiddle
        with it.

So my question stands, what is the status of Mesa 4.x and the DRI trunk and
much more importantly tdfx and Mesa 4.x. I also have a g200 agp but would
rather go with tdfx. Also before I get my hands dirty again what is the sate
of play with tnl and g200 and tdfx, where in the rendering pipeline does Mesa
hand over to the hardware?

        Thanks
                Andy
