Thanks for the clarification--I am looking at the possibility of providing a smaller subset of drivers (no GL or core libraries), but I'm not sure how possible that really is. Originally, the DRI architecture was designed to be able to provide downloadable binary drivers from multiple sources and not clobber each other--I intend to find out how close to that reality we really are. > As for the symlinks. What you have is really a rather robust way of getting a lot of users a reliable update. What I am exploring is minimize the file set even further so that binaries can be released from multiple providers and still work well together.
