Hi folks, Just a quick query about the state of the Radeon driver, as it appears in XFree86-4.2. Seems to work like a dream, unless you have simultaneous rendering to multiple contexts/windows, in which case there's huge corruption. It's easy to see, at least on my system (Mobility 7500/M7, XFree86-4.2, drm from 2.4.18 kernel). Just fire up two copies of gears:
/usr/X11R6/lib/xscreensaver/gears & /usr/X11R6/lib/xscreensaver/gears & I've seen similar reports on this mailing list from 2001, and also in the SF bug database. Sorry I haven't tried CVS yet, perhaps this one is already fixed? Otherwise, I'd be happy to test any patches, though I regret I don't have the expertise to try to figure out what's wrong myself - sorry!
