Sorry that this is late but I am behind in my reading of the list.

Original Radeons:
Radeon VE (no TCl)
Radeon SDR
Radeon DDR / LE

Rereleased Radeons:
Radeon 7000 (no TCl)
Radeon 7200 (SDR)
Radeon 7500 (DDR)

The only differences are more RAM and higher clock speeds (possible because
of a manufacturing process shrink) on the 7X00 cards. 

You also get fancy versions of most of these cards eg VIVO, AIW, etc, 
this is just added functionality ie stick on a tv tuner, a couple of chips.

The reason for the renaming is to simplify matters for end users
bigger number = better / faster.

Furthermore 7X00 denotes a R100 based card and
8X00 denotes a R200 based card.

I don't think this needs to go on the website, and now that I've brought
that up, how is it coming along Ian? <g>
