I'd like to add to my own posting that the branch that you consider for
inclusion into XFree86-4.3 definitely looks worse than the Mesa-5.x based
stuff - at least from the user perspective.

If anyone cares I'll create a few screenshots with FlightGear to lay out
the difference I mean,
