I'm pleased to announce the long awaited 2.0 release of the linux agpgart
kernel module. It has significant internal improvements over the previous
version, and it provides the infrastructure to completely support AGP 3.0
devices. While it does not provide implementations for a few bits of the
agp 3.0 spec, it should provide all the kernel and user land interfaces
required to completely support it. Of significant note is the new vm
mapping api which will allow the usage of PAT mapped pages, and will allow
the DRI to be made to work on systems which can't directly map the agp
aperture. Also several driver level improvements were made.
I would appreciate any bold souls to please help out with testing this new
functionality. I will be checking in a branch tonight (after my internal
build testing on it is complete) which allows the DRM to use a subset of
this new infrastructure when it is available. I also have provided a test
program in the agpgart cvs module that will fully exercise the new and old
agpgart interfaces. Please feel free to beat it up and send me email with
test program output if things break.

Thanks,
-Jeff
