ARGB?  And, I had attributed the feature to KDE, because I had read somewhere 
that, well, it was a new feature of KDE 3.1 :-)  It was probably a case of 
the blind leading the blind.

I say "of course," because I believe it was documented that DRI doesn't work 
with SWCursor.
