Minor terminology suggestion...

I notice a lot of people on this list say "upload" when describing
transfer of data from host to graphics, though the usual term for that
operation in the places I've worked is "download."  Reminds me of
tree data structures being drawn with the root at the top, unlike
real trees. :-)

To avoid confusion, it might be nice to use "load" for the transfer from
host to graphics memory, and "unload" for the reverse.  This also has
the virtue of being more concise.
