AFAIK you can't have Gatos- and DRI-drivers at the same time. Both projects use different versions of the drm kernel module which are not compatible.

I don't know if Gatos currently supports 3d-accel with r200-based cards, you'll have to check Gatos-documentation for that.

I have read through the CVS documentation I can find and have pulled
the src from cvs using the following commands. xfree86 CVSROOT=:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvs cvs -z3 co xc should I be using the xf-4_3-branch or any other branch?

For DRI you don't have to check out any sources from xfree86 cvs. Everything you need is contained in DRI-cvs.

DRI CVSROOT=:pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvsroot/dri cvs
-z3 co xc Again is the default the correct branch to pull?

that should do.
