Does this work for you? As I reported earlier, the same change in the r200 driver locks up very quickly for me.

On my Radeon 7200 it dumps with the old -22 error.

Think Tanks. That's the only program that I've been using to test this bug. Now that we have the bad behavior pretty well characterized we should probably write up a stand-alone test or two to hit as many of the different errant paths as possible.
