I looked at the agpgart changes from 2.4.18 to 2.4.22-pre8 and adapted the patch accordingly (hopefully). this patch changes the kernel's extraversion to -pre8-igp so you can have -pre8 vanilla and the patched one installed at the same time. Now it works just fine but for a strange reason that I've not yet figured, the dri driver does not work when compiled against kernels newer than 2.4.21 (the -pre series). During insmod/modprobe it complains about the mmu_cr4_features being unresolved. But Looking at System.map it is present. Anyway, I "solved" this changing the version to a 2.4.21 kernel source to the newer one and building the dri module against it (so it will not complain during insmod about being compiled for another kernel version). Alan, as you are looking this thread, any hint about this? How does the patch look? Anyway, I'll continue to update the kernel side patch to newer kernels if I could.
