------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2003-24-11 13:49 ------- I wasn't able to produce the hang/lockup with your application, but here's another way for R200/Radeon8500: 1. start glxgears 2. start lesson24 from http://nehe.gamedev.net/data/lessons/lesson.asp?lesson=24 (glut and sdl source) 3. press up/down to scroll through the extension list. 4. the hang should occur. If not, add. start some other lesson24s... Add. Info: Some/many months ago (pre XFree 4.3.0 ?) lesson24 alone was able to trigger a freeze on R100/radeon7500. Someone (KeithW maybe?) fixed that. I thought it did have something to do with cliprects/scissors. Another way to hang your Xserver on R200/Radeon8500: 1. start glxgears 2. start quake3 in windowed mode 3. go to the player model choose menu 4. fiddle around a bit: change models, press buttons, move the pointer 5. some hang/lockup should occur Add. Info: Some months ago I discovered corruption when running glxgears and quake3 (windowed) on R100/radeon7500. I made some shots: http://www.kulmbach.net/~andi/screenshots/ But its more visible when you see it in realtime. At that time it didnt trigger a hang/lockup on my R100/radeon7500. At the moment I'm using XFree86 cvs HEAD, but the problems occur with DRI cvs HEAD, too. (radeon.o Kernelmodule from DRI cvs HEAD) Info about my System: Kernel 2.4.22, gcc2.95.3, SiS745, Athlon XP 1700+, Hercules Radeon8500 128MB (now), before I was using an ATI? Radeon7500 64MB btw. you can trigger (another?) lockup by disabling hw_tcl and playing ut2003_demo on R200. This bug is a showstopper. You have to reboot the whole box to get the console back. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugs.xfree86.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: SF.net Giveback Program.
