Hi Felipe,

Alex Deucher and I are currently working on the savage driver in DRI
CVS. Alex is mostly dealing with 2D issues while I'm focusing on the 3D
part. Both parts are important as they have to play together nicely. I'm
not familiar with the Diamond Stealth. I assume it's a trading name for
your graphics card. You should first find out which chip from the Savage
family you have on your graphics card. Use lspci and lspci -n for that.
You can find the PCI IDs and the corresponding chips on
http://www.probo.com/timr/savage40.html.

The driver is currently known to work with savage4, twister and
prosavage chips. We are confident that the Savage3D-based cards will be
supported in the near future as well. I have a ProSavage DDR myself but
Alex has sent me a Savage4 and a Savage IX graphics card that I expect
to arrive soon.

Current development issues are discussed on
[EMAIL PROTECTED] It's pretty high traffic. There are
mailing list archives, see the dri.sf.net homepage for details. Every
monday there are IRC meetings on freenode.net #dri-devel at 2100 UTC.

I hope this gets you started.

Best regards,
  Felix

P.S. Indeed, I have to update my own homepage after a rather long time. ;-)
