I'm putting together a sample DRM CVS module so that everyone can look at it and help move things around until we get it right. But this brings up the question, where should it go? Into the the mesa or dri project? This question is complicated by where you get commit privileges. For someone working on just a DRM driver for use in neither mesa or dri where would be the better place in mesa or dri? I don't care which one we pick, but the one that gets picked is going to get extra commiters that probably don't care about the main project.
