That has nothing to do with 3D accel. Also, the glxgears frame rate is
as low as before. You should really try reducing the color depth to 16
bit. (DefaultColorDepth 16 in XF86Config).

glxgears does not use any AGP memory because there are not textures. I
don't think agpmode should make any difference. On integrated chipsets
the AGP mode should have no effect either way.
