hi all: some weeks ago i wrote to the list because i had problems with my savage card in my acer aspire 1300:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: S3 Inc. VT8636A [ProSavage KN133] AGP4X VGA Controller (TwisterK) (rev 01) well i have been doing a lot of tests with several cvs versions and diferent patches (made by alex deucher) and all of them gave me a lot of problems.. at the begining with the 26-03-2004 cvs dri and mesa version i had the problem that you can see in this screenshot. http://www.e-oss.net/import.png by chance i changed some parameters in my XF86Config-4 file (like the refresh of the monitor) and now it works perfectly with dri support although not too fast (it is not a good card) I could appear as a stupid and the mistake is probably a non-sense thing but i think this solution could help some person with similar problems.
