You trust the X server. Thats already problematic with SELinux and
compartmentalisation. For some things you need multiple X-servers for
this reason.

Assuming you fix the input layer yes. I too would advocate that part
being user space. We don't need multiple framebuffer let alone multiple
keyboard/mouse mapping stuff in the kernel one, just what we have now
or thereabouts
