Yes, the driver in the freedesktop.org tree is *ancient*. That's why he said to try an updated driver from dri.sf.net. :)

Well, I'm confused ;-) The dri.sf.net download wiki page says that the dri project has moved to freedesktop.org because of problems with sf.net cvs and there's an example of how to check out drm from cvs.freedesktop.org ...


anyhoo, that is the DRM DRIVER_DATE, most of the 3d work is done in the
mesa driver,

and that is 2004, grab a snapshot it can't harm,

I haven't followed DRI closely, so this may be a FAQ or just a stupid question, but why is the DRI module in the 2.6.6 kernel almost two years old?
