Yup, its me again. I've decided to switch back to deb sid's xf 4.3.0 because I wanted a (mostly) stable system to develop gl apps on. I switched back, double checked everything as fine, and I went to play quake via darkplaces... and not so long in... it whacked my box.
I was quite surprised, I knew I cleaned up everything... but then I realized I forgot the dri cvs kernel modules, I was still using those even though I reverted my xserver, 2D drivers, and 3D drievrs. So, is it possible the lockup bug is in the kernel dri module? -- Patrick "Diablo-D3" McFarland || [EMAIL PROTECTED] "Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music." -- Kristian Wilson, Nintendo, Inc, 1989 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by Black Hat Briefings & Training.
