Ah. The XFree86 loader "wraps" libc to attempt to make calls libc-independent (it isn't completely successful, but at least malloc and free work as expected). I'm not quite sure how to work around this; one suggestion would be to use mesa-specific names (mesa_malloc, mesa_free) and then have an X-server module which defined those in terms of xf86malloc/xf86free as well as having the GL loader define those in terms of malloc/free. I believe the allocator is supposed to be wrapped even in the dlopen-world of debrix. -keith
