That's very possible, but I did reinstall from my local copy of the DRI/Mesa cvs tree.
The drm branch of the DRI cvs. From back in September. What's the currentwhere did the drm come from?
state of the cvs tree? I don't mind upgrading to the most recent code, but
given how long it takes to compile on this machine, I'd rather not do that if
it's not going to work :-)
It's wierd what you have just stopped working, it sounds like either the entries in /dev/ disappeared, (look at /proc/device is the drm there??) can you modprobe mach64 drm_opts=debug and see does it do anything when you start X... check the perms in /dev/ ...
Dave.
From /proc/devices:
<snip> 226 drm </snip>
And from my syslog:

There is, currently, nothing under /dev/dri/ ... And if I create a /dev/dri/card0 node using the same major and minor numbers as on my workstation (using the same copy of the dri/drm tree, iirc), it gets deleted when X starts up.
