I will try the patch later today.

Also I'd like to clarify that the Unichrome project which has done some of
the work is not in any way supported by or endorsed by VIA (the company).
It is a standalone volunteer project, and thus my comments about
considering the drm secure is just my personal opinion.

I'm not sure, though, about whether the same applies for Erdi Chen who
contributed the DMA Ring-buffer code.

In any case it would be good to have a comment from Erdi about the patch
since he is the guy who pointed out the security issues in the first
place.
