No, I see this too. Are you using X.org from CVS ? I think there is a bug someplace, something to do with events or mouse movement - my Xserver often crashes when mouse is at the edge of the screen. Also, some applications die randomly when mouse is close to the border.
This is with R300 hardware, so might be not directly related to the drm driver.
On the other hand I have not updated main Xserver code for a while, maybe it is fixed already in CVS.
